The riesling from the Hillside is nothing short of heavenly, and the price suggests some sort of divine intervention. Plus, however high the vineyards of Clare Valley can get, surely those planted on celestial slopes are more so. How else would you get such an otherworldly balance of drool-worthy lime and sunshine-soaked lemons, refreshing minerality and cloudlike complexity? The bottle definitely says Clare Valley though.

This one's all about those rizza citrus flavours: Lime cordial, lemon pith and preserved lemon, among other things. It's juicy and vibrant and zippy and minerally and most of all, it's sooooooo yummy! We don't mind if you don't buy this one - we'll drink it all.
Throughout its long and storied history, the Eden Valley has only had four vintages rated 10/10 - 2002, 2015, 2017 and the year that birthed this beauty, 2021. Although there was a massive hail storm, with some producers losing over 50% of their crop, undamaged grapes were of phenomenal quality and concentration. This wine is shining example of what's possible when the conditions cooperate. Fresh citrus flavours run throughout, lemon zest, lime cordial, even mandarin rind. There's the varietal zippy acid and a wonderful finish of green apple and fresh lime too. If you like putting down riesling then we're willing to bet that this will be singing in three-to-eight years. We're also willing to bet you won't be able to keep your hands off it for that long.

You know how it goes- Clare Valley riesling is all about that pep-in-its-step. Bright, crunchy, and a little bit floral. This is a regional selection made by a Mofo fave Barossa winery; they’ve proven themselves in the field of quality winemaking, and this riesling is here to really show it.

A pioneering Clare Valley estate with vines first planted in 1896, the George Family vineyard just five kilometres east of Auburn lives and breathes the region’s winemaking traditions. Bright and distinctive, this Clare riesling shows off a vibrancy of new world fruit, impeccably balanced with old world finesse. Citrusy acidity, peppy florals, and a crunchy palate all make for a ripping good time.

Eden Valley riesling is known the world over for its wonderful lime character and gorgeous minerality, in that sense this zippy number brings no surprises. What is surprising is the intensity. Into Eden riz? Stop looking, this is the one.
If someone asked us what makes Eden Valley riesling so special, we'd hand them a bottle of this. Complex limey notes and crunchy green apple supported by racy acid and peppy minerality. It's textbook Eden, refreshing, clean and crisp but there's a generosity of flavour on the palate that places this wine much higher up the shelf than the price would suggest. We love how this wine is drinking at this moment but If you're looking for a riz to age, this will go the distance. We've recently tried vintages of this beauty going all the way back to 2013 and the retention of fruit and acid is something to behold.

Perfectly balanced, perfectly poised and perfectly positioned to develope for as long as your patience will allow it to. This one's all about matching the sweetness with the acidity, a completely unique mouthfeel with length, luscious fruit and an enduring acid line.
This is the style of wine that this maker’s most famous for, a Germanic, sweeter riesling style with perfectly balanced acidity. It’s built to age and just starting to strut its stuff with a few years in bottle. The ‘04 museum release, for instance, and was rated 2nd best riesling in Australia from 50 of the country’s best in 2016. Obviously, cellar age will reward. Here's a little tip from us, open this one with a bit of spicy food (Thai, Sri Lankan, Indonesian, Malay) and the wine comes alive! Honestly, even if you don't believe in food pairing with wine, give this a crack, both the wine and the food a genuinely made better - if that's possible.
